Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to day to day accounting procedures, monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and supplier / customer billing / payments.

They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Experience in Chemicals Trading / Distribution company will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments and recording in the accounting system
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• budgeting and forecasting
• Perform product cost analysis
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• CA, ACMA or ACCA (Part Qualified / Finalist) will be preferred
