| Job Description: |
Network officer is responsible to install, troubleshoot LAN/WAN environment and support KBL Network across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN)
- Install and support VPN network over Nortel, Juniper and Cisco technologies.
- Troubleshoot WAN communication links (dialup, DSL, RF,VSAT)
- Install and configure layer 2 switches
- Interaction with end users to provide support regarding network related issues like connectivity with branch, other equipments on the LAN.
- Maintain, monitor, analyze and troubleshoot network equipments.
- Implement and ensure security procedures of network.
- Troubleshooting, root cause identification and problem resolution.
- Report to Network Administrator, the status of all events as per the escalation procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Network Administrator.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other attributes
- Bachelors in IT/Engineering/Computer Science from a reputed HEC-recognized university/institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience over LAN/WAN, network devices (switches and routers etc )
- In depth knowledge of the network topologies, protocols, tools, and techniques
- Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving ability
- Hands on support experience of a mid-sized (20-50 node ) network
- Experience with a variety of network topologies
- Network certification (MCSE/CISCO/Juniper) preferred.
- The candidate must be willing to work in irregular hours and weekends.
- High-quality customer service skills
