Job Description: |
Introduction:
- Pakistan Reading Project (PRP) is implementing Student assessment baseline survey based on EGRA throughout Pakistan. During this activity, students of grade I and grade II will be assessed using EGRA based tools developed by PRP technical team. During this agreement a MT will be engaged with organization for almost 20 no of days to provide following responsibilities during the month of April/May 2015.
Responsibilities:
- Travel from her/his home town to Islamabad to attend 05 days training workshop at capacitate herself/himself on Standardized Administration of Student Assessment Tools developed on Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) approach as well as Student Questionnaire, Teacher Questionnaire.
- Perform a day visit to school for practicing above mentioned tools and questionnaires by assessing grade I and grade II students & teachers during training workshop.
- Work in close coordination with other MTs to design standardized material and schedule for enumerators training as well as trainer detailed schedule
- Travel to allocated regional/provincial locations to train enumerators on these tools during training workshop.
Experience:
- Experience imparting trainings on survey an assessment instrument required
- Experience with training and administration of EGRA tools preferred
- Managerial experience with data collecting and monitoring/evaluation activities preferred
- Experience with public and/or private education preferred
- Experience with development project preferred
- Fluent in Urdu and English language

The project will achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that will work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: Improved classroom learning environment for reading, Improved policies and systems for reading, and Improved community based support for reading in Pakistan.
