| Job Description: |
- Prepare recommendations for developing fixed network strategy and roadmap
- Participate actively in every design activity in fixed network and prepare guidelines in accordance with network strategy and roadmap
- Prepare network design plans to align copper and fiber resources in access domain for smooth network evolution
- Introduce new technology trends for evolution of fixed broadband access network in line with business requirements and latest market trends
- Develop test procedures and conduct Proof of concept/field trials for emerging access technologies
- Prepare acceptance test procedures for fixed network projects
- Participate in technical evaluation of fixed broadband solutions and products
- Prepare technical specification for products to be deployed in the fixed network
Essential Knowledge
- Network Planning/strategy experience for fixed broadband networks
- Strong knowledge of design principles in FTTx access networks
- Broad knowledge, deep understanding and working experience of fixed broadband technologies like xDSL, GPON.
- Knowledge of network evolution/upgrade trends and emerging technologies in fixed broadband access
- Knowledge and Experience of developing SOPs, guidelines and technical specifications for fixed broadband network
- Knowledge of SDN/NFV applications in Fixed networks
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical/Telecom/Computer Engineering from university of local and international repute
- Minimum 3-5 years experience of working in Carrier/Vendor environment especially in a Planning, Design, strategy role in fixed broadband network
