Overview:

In partnership with health experts, governments and community leaders, we provide high-quality health care for the people and designs innovative, effective and low-cost health care solutions to ensure a level of care for women and their families. 


 Responsibilities:



  • Supervise the work of Assistant M&E manager based in Peshawar and provide technical inputs for smooth implementation of M&E activities in the districts.

  • Perform comprehensive analysis of program data and prepare periodic reports.

  • Conduct monthly/quarterly review meetings for each district with M&E team, prepare and share findings/progress report with supervisor.

  • Conduct Data Quality Audits (DQA) on quarterly basis to ensure that quality of collected data is meeting the desired quality standards

  • Work closely with the program team for the smooth implementation of program and M&E activities.

  • Eloquently communicate with head office M&E team regarding updates and queries.

  • Participate in research activities, data analysis, manuscript and abstract writing.

  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics

  • Should have at least 7 years’ experience at similar position.

  • Sound knowledge and experience of MS Office, SPSS, Stata and other statistical software.

  • 50% of time required to spend in the field.

  • Experience of trainings/technical support in proposal writing, research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), data analysis and technical writing (Report and Manuscript).

  • Should be able to develop quarterly/annually results reports.

  • Capacity to interact with managers at different levels to ensure understanding of key findings.

  • The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with an ability to adhere to strict deadlines. Must be able to work independently and respond to queries in a timely manner.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Knowledge of local language would be an additional benefit.

Jhpiego develops strategies to help countries care for themselves by training competent health care workers, strengthening health systems and improving the delivery of care. Jhpiego has been working in Pakistan since 1997 when it provided technical assistance under a series of maternal and reproductive health projects funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). One of the Project aims in Pakistan is to improve the quality of public and private sector health services. Healthcare providers will be trained; health facilities renovated and services will be expanded and improved. We also will improve access of women and children to health services especially the poor and those who do not or cannot go for health care, by educating communities and families and setting up better transport and communications systems. By 2017, thousands of deaths of women, newborn babies and infants will have been prevented as a result of the USAID/Pakistan MCH Program. USAID/Pakistan has, in cooperation with the USAID Office of Inspector General, established the Anti-Fraud Hotline to provide an avenue for the reporting of fraud, waste, and abuse which may be associated with USAID funded projects in Pakistan.
